Hello,
Robyn has just bought herself a 1 Gauge train set. Marklin of course!
She is planning a Garden railway..
Who makes the 1:32 scale buildings? I've checked: Vollmer - Only G Scale (1:22.5) Kibri - No big scales Pola - Only G scale (1:22.5) Auhagen - No big scales
Cheers Adrian |

Seems like Piko at least has 5... http://www.piko.de/d/warengruppen/s-geb1.htmMärklin also has a newspaper stand, a locoshed and a diesel fuel facility... At http://www.kleinserien.de/ there is also some stuff, select "1:32 (Spur 1)" on the right side menu - and you will get what is available there in German. Buildings can be found under "Ausgestaltung: Gebäude und Bauteile", but there were other buildings in other categories as well so you might as well browse them all... That's all I have found so far... |

Thanks Juhan,
Robyn and Miss 4 are off shopping in Eumundi this morning, but I'm sure she will be very happy with what you have found so far..
Thanks again, Adrian |

Hi Adrian I was reading a magazine yesterday and I came across the make Besig for 1:32 scale, which I don't use, but I remembered your question and I had a look at their site (http://www.besiggmbh.de/). Apparently they also have buildings, although their site is not complete. But you can order a catalogue. So maybe your wife and Miss 4 will be happier this Christmas. [:o)] Cheers, Nuno

Adrian,
Marklin also sells a neat railroad station. It is complete with a track expansion set (turnouts etc), and a tankcar. Together a great value.
Item number is 59861.

I have seen this Charlie, but its about $600 over here (Almost the price of a nice new 39610).. Robyn wants the big gauge, but chokes at the big prices..

Thanks Juhan,
Robyn really likes the farm stuff... Miss 4 wants the horses from the last link..
We have started building from 6mm Tasmanian Oak as the basis of the frame.. When the website has been fully reestablished, I'll post an image..

Ouch. Too bad the set (box) is fairly big, shipping would cost you too. |

Yes.. Freight from the US to Australia is very expensive.. I'm guessing that's what is making the price bulky.. But our Australian dealer does hold very good stock quantities and is very responsive all of my (sometimes quiz smoke affected) requests so I guess the extra cost is worthwhile.. |

Yes, I agree. You can not beat having a local dealer. Especially if he takes care of his customers!
Typically airmail rates include weight and volume, and bigger means more $$$.
