Just watch out for the circus theme expansion sets for those famous trains and waggons, which Märklin will offer now in addition.

It looks like an internal presentation - not intended for a public website - but anyway:

It is a very good step towards conquering the younger model railroaders. My daughter (soon 5) loves circus and trains, and would be crazy about a set like this. The digital controller included is easy to use. The rolling stock is repainted old trusty sturdy items. An endless row of expansion sets will be available.

I look forward to this Circus train, not for my own needs, but to buy as a gift to my daughter. I just it will be available in Sweden (as Thomas sets were not...).

Very nice for kids!

I don't see any connection with Thomas, though. The loco is the old 3087, probably with the new can motor.

The whole thing is just a repeat of the old "Circus Sarrasani" offered years ago under the Primex brand.

Hi all!

Could this also be a 'test' for the resurgence of a Primex-like line? I read somewhere (?) that there had been talk/rumors/hopes of such a move.

With the mention of the POS (Point of Sale) advantages, etc., this seems like an outreach to other retail outlets rather than just train dealers (e.g. [}:)] WalMart, Toys-R-Us (sorry I could not figure out how to turn the 'R' around), etc.) ? [:0] I do not know if that is good or bad or..? Also the oversize figures would tell me that there is an audience they are trying to reach - the young 'uns - and that can be a good thing. Bring them in early - although from what I gather here, we are giving our all to bring along the Next Generation ('Make it so'..) wink ! They do seem to be using "Thomas"-like colors.

Confession time - I always kind of liked the Primex "Sarrasani" Zirkus set - I was just never in the right place at the right time with the right amount of disposable income to join the circus wink [:o)]!

Peace to all,

Jim

Hi,

The link above seems to have gone the way of such things. I reduced it to get to the main page, and well "it was all Greek to me" wink Cool .

Just wondering if any more has been said about this, or whether this was something that was just preliminary? (Run it up the flagpole kind of thing) I would think if they were going to do it, it would be for the Christmas rush? (me - confused - as usual Smile).

Thanks in advance,

Jim
