Hi all,
I am soooo happy. biggrinbiggrinbiggrin Today I have received the Marklin turntable. When I got home, a big package waited for me at the door. I am so excited. I have opened the box, frantically, and upon taking the lid off, I was surprised by the size of this thing. IT IS HUMONGOUS!!! The controller is in blue and looks very basic. I guess there's no need for any complicated stuff anyways. Also in the box is a small plastic bag with cables, connectors and something which looks like an electronic circuit board and two speed poles with 5Km/h lettering in white. Even the small operator's house on the truntable has interior furnishings. I wonder if lighting can be added inside. That would be cool to have. On the back of the turntable there's a stamp that looks like a date and the inscription Made in Germany. I can only imagine how cool this puppy looks and operates on a real layout. For anybody who's considering getting one, I would strongly reccomend it. [^][^] This is a dream come true for me. Let the game begin! wink

Good on you. Yep they are fun.
I have one with a couple of 7287 extensions, a 72881 and a Faller B-150 Back Shop off mine.
I am also going to fit 2 Viessmann 4017 lights (you could use 4515 Semaphores) as well and light the operators cab.
Heaps of articles in the forum on turntables, just do a search and enjoy the read. Some of my favourites are:

Thanks for that Sebastian and Tony. I have some $ put away for a turntable, just nowhere on the layout to install it!! I guess I'll get round to buying it someday.

Enjoy your acquisitions.

Thanks all for the links and replies. Unfortunately, the Digital Bahn Link is not going to help me at all as I do not speak deutsch. I already have in mind the image of it combined with the two Faller sheds I have ordered (120175 +120177). It will be an awesome yard. I will keep you guys posted along the way with the updates.
