I looked for HO 20 and 40 foot containers to either add to a container terminal or load on cars to make a long train..

I found out that Atheran used to do what, I believe, were the most prototipical HO models. I believe they are out of production but can be found here and there and also on e-bay. I bought a few and here are some pics:

I have nearly two dozen Athearn containers, gathered over many years. Every once in a while I have a peek at Athearn.com and see lots of different containers, and chassis, and flat cars-w/containers on the site. But as we have seen elsewhere "Announced" does not always = "Available", so as you say we find them where we can Smile . Keep on truckin'!
