hello,

I am wondering how you do to improve this model..
Actually I have the SBB motorcar with 4 other coaches (including triebwagen) and doors in gold color.. I also have the MArtigny Orsieres train
I want to improve this train set: NEM short couplers, add a decoder from ESU with sound.. but do sound for this model exists?
Also I want this model to have little passengers in it.
1 of the 4 wagons that I have does not have light,.. Do u think this train is nicer with only 3 cars, or better with 4 cars (including motorcar)?
I am thinking about finding a cheap way to put a light on it, with ledstrips...

any comments/advice?

Cheers!!

A total of three cars (including the Triebwagen and the Steuerwagen) was more typical, but consists with a total of four cars could also be seen. Please be aware that the model no. 150 is not quite prototypical because its cabs are too modern (they resemble the later RBe 4/4 railcars of the SBB instead of the actual cabs of the older BDe 4/4).

I am not aware of a sound decoder for this HAG model which was introduced more than 40 years ago.

You can remove the seat-part of the car and put passengers in there.

There have been suggestions in the German speaking HAG forum regarding the installation of a decoder, but I am sorry that I can not provide a direct link at this moment.

Hello,

Thanks a lot for responses, Damn, if I read the HAG forum... changing the AC motor into a DC motor...

Good to hear also that mostly this train consists of 3 parts, I checked lots of pics on internet, and I could not find any long train from this type...

Hi Guus,

Thanks and yes to the second link, but no to the first one quoted here because it refers to the newer 152/154 HAG models which are a more exact reproduction of the BDe 4/4 prototype and technically entirely different from model no. 150.

Best regards, Stefan
