According to the instruction manual for Freiwald TrainController one must set the digital address for the decoder - quote "Now specify the digital address of the feedback sensor, that belongs to this contact indicator. In most cases this is the digital address of the feedback decoder and the number of the contact input of this decoder, to which the sensor is connected." I know the contact inputs are numbered 1 to 16 but where do you get the "digital address" of the decoder itself??
Neal.

s88's don't have addresses and they are not decoders.. They are placed in series (ie daisy chain) and the system counts the first 16 as module one etc.. So second port of module two is address 18...

Neal,
I use TC. You are right. TC requires an address for the feedback module. Each feedback module has an address and 16 inputs. If you are using one s88, plug it into your control unit and the address will be "1". Each contact indicator will have input from 1-16.
I use an Intellibox that has inputs for both S88 cable and uhlenbrock 63 3350 feedback modules. My s88 module is address 1 with inputs 1-16. My 63 3350 modules are address 2 and 3 respectively each with inputs 1-16.
The uhlenbrock 63 3350 modules are programmable for addresses. I just looked at s88 module instruction book. I see that you hook them up in daisy chain. Not sure how that works as far as giving the follow on s88 modules addresses.
There are others here that use TC who may have more than on S88 conected in series.
Additionally, there is a discussion forum for TC, www.railroadandco.com (English & German)that may help with that.
