I am looking for some information regarding ESU decoders used in Brawa / Marklin locomotives.
What I am looking for is instructions in English in modifying parameters for these decoders.
Any ideas or suggestions ? |

Frostie,
Brawa decoders are pure ESU, Märklin's sometimes are, sometimes are not.
New Brawa loks (such as the G4/5H) come with a 21-pole Lopi 3.0, despite the fact that the decoder manual that comes with it is not for a Lopi 3, it's for a Lopi 1.0!
Most new Märklin non-sound loks come with a Lopi mfx 3.0, such as the 37196. New Märklin sound loks, such as the BR61 and VT08.5 come with Märklin versions of the ESU Loksoundmfx, but they are a bit diferent, in for example, not allowing the sound image to be changed.
As a general rule, ESU instructions in the ESU manuals will work with Märklin decoders, but not everything.....
Good luck!
Luis
