G'day all. Great site. I've been reading heaps. Just wondering if any one has any info on the 6022 digital controller ( numbers are correct)
I picked the controller up second hand with some other bits but can't get any of the normal digital codes to respond to it. It has a four number keyboard on it, four buttons numbered 1-4, a function button and a speed controller. I think it came out of a starter set. Any info on this would be great.

G'Day Rob!

Welcome to the group!

I've never seen the 6022, but you are right, it came with some Digital starter sets in Europe, I believe.

The control unit addresses four locos #10, #20, #30, #40.

The four buttons numbered 1-4 control turnouts. Their adresses are #253, #254, #255, #0.

Hope this helps,

Charlie

I started digital with the 6023 (6022 + engine + k83).

As I recall, the buttons were for switch numbers 1,2,3,4 (Group 0). This let you control the 6083 that came with the set.

As a side note, the address #20 is the only address in common with Delta. Very frustrating if you have two Delta loks . <img src=icon_smile_blackeye.gif border=0 align=middle>

Thanks Charie and McLea.

I'll try the codes out on some loco's and let you know how I went.

6022 was delivered with Digital starter sets before the 6021 became the new standard. Compared to a 6020, which has no controls whatsoever and needs a separate control 80, it's of course a big step forward. You can also connect a control 80 or 80f to a 6022 and use it to access the rest of the 80 adresses. One advantage compared to 6021 is that you can control turnouts with the 6022 ... but only 4!

6023 has all the features of 6022 and also a computer interface...

Thanks Charlie, the codes you gave for the 6022 all work well so my
second hand purchase wasn't a dud after all. By the way, sorry I spelt your name wrong on my first reply.
