Hi all,

I'm tempted to get an Intellibox but its quite expensive. The Fleischmann Twin-Center looks similar and comes in a cheap starter set. But is it really similar? can I use it for Marklin? Does anyone has experience with a Twin-Center on a Marklin layout?

If it works, I'll buy the Fleischmann starter set, keep the IB and give away the nice train and loads ot track to some Fleischmann fan...

Hello,

no Monique, the Twin Center can't handle Märklin. It supports DCC, Selectrix and FMZ, Fleischmanns own protocol. IB supports DCC, Selectrix and Märklin. And IB software may not be loaded into a Twin-Center.

Have you considered DAISY? May be used as an entry into digital; but is also a very good supplement to a (future?) IB. I plan to buy it as soon as it gets available outside Germany.

The Twin supports the Selectrix protocol? I thought it was just FMZ and DCC,......

just checked Fleischmanns homepage. Yes, selectrix is supported. It makes some sense in N-scale.
