Just bought two new 60830 decoders. They each come with two 1.5K resistors.

What are those for? There's nothing in the booklet about them.

I have number of K83 60830,I have not use the resistors for turnouts and uncoupling.

These resisters were introduced after the 1st version of C-Track point motors/solinoids failed to work reliably. These solinoids only had a cutoff switch at one end but the design was such that the actuator could "bounce back" if the power was strong - resulting in unreliable switching and derailments.

Marklin explained that this would most likely occur if the item was close to the transformer and if you experienced this problem, you should insert a resister (in the yellow leg to the point) to reduce the current and thus the energy to the actuator.

Many thanks!
