Went to the Allentown train meet today. It was HUGE. over 600 vendor tables and several club layouts. It was also crowded (much more so than the disappointing NMRA "Great Train Show"). I had trouble getting through some of the aisles and had to wait to get to many of the vendors counters. Granted, it was mostly American G, O and S gauge, but there was a lot of HO and even some Marklin. George Kuhn (http://www.eurobahntrains.com/) was there with a neat little Z layout and a number of HO items. Also a vendor (don't recall his name) associated with MEA. We spent most of the afternoon wandering about the hall. Picked up some hard to find tools, some parts for my old American Flyer S gauge that I plan to set up for Christmas, and some Thomas stuff for my Grandson. Nothing Marklin, though. My budget is quite limited for a while since 1) I am still paying for my trip to Europe last month and 2) I just bought a Big Boy. Smile

They have these twice a year ("First Frost" and "Thaw"). If anyone is interested see http://www.allentowntrainmeet.com/ . I didn't know about this before. Saw a flyer in a train store I stopped in Friday night.

I almost went to a local greenbergs show today, but since I have a trip to China to start tomorrow, I decided to stay home.
There is also a massive show in Minneapolis this weekend (Trainfest). Maybe next year. Also had to miss out on a woodworking show in York, PA that I had been planning on going to all year.
