Hi all,
I know some of you have track-cleaning wagons from Lux-Modellbau. I have a grinding wagon and one vacuum-cleaner wagon. Both of them are AC and Digital (Tams decoder). I´ve got no problems with their efectivity, they are superb. My doubts are based on the fact that when I "call" the digital address of the vacuun wagon, it starts the engine and allows me to increase-decrease the speed of the vacuum motor with the knob of my IB. In the other hand, the grinding wagon starts when is called, but it works at its maximun speed, and I can´t perform any regulation.
Is this the usual way this wagon works or is there something wrong?

Best regards,

Juan,

That is the way mine worked. However, I had so much trouble getting them repaired after they broke down several times, I stoped using them. I'm glad that you have good luck with them. I frankly did not find them that effective. The vacuum car is okay, but the track cleaning car did not get the black gunk off the tracks. I could run my finger over the track after two or three passes with the cleaning car and still get a lot of black residue on my finger. I now use two Centerline track cleaning cars. One to clean and one to wipe up the excess fluid (I use Ronson lighter fluid). About one fourth of the price, simple and they really work.

Hi Jack,
Thanks for the feed-back, I´ll keep waiting for more oppinions, but in the case of willing to use Centerline car, I don´t know if it will be easy to get in Europe. Any suggestion?

Hi Juan Carlos,

Go to www.helmutshobbies.com and click on Track Cleaning Car. I know that Scott ships all over the world and probably can help you.

Hi all,

I'm using both wagons too. I use them without decoders on my digital system. I have no problems. At the grinding wagon I changed the cleaning rollers into some out of felt.

Hi Stefan,
I´ll follow your advise prior to order a different cleaning car. Thanks.<img src=icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle>

Hi Juan,

the rollers out of felt are produced by Lux too. I would order them from this manufacturer. They have the order number 9047.

Best Regards
Stefan
