I'm curious what are the longest trains people run with Z scale Märklin engines. And does this vary much between 3-pole, 5-pole and coreless motors?

I got up to 20 cars. I made a quick video showing it running with 19 then 20 cars. 88482 5-pole (black box). There is an S curve off camera which stopped it from pulling the last (21st) car I have right now, a 4-axle metal chassis container car. I also probably should clean the track with alcohol before trying this.




At some point I'm going to make a more comprehensive video showing this in more detail comparing multiple types of engines.
