In Piazza Città di Lombardia, a train made entirely of chocolate, 55.27 metres long and weighing 2.8 tonnes, broke the previous world record, as confirmed by the official measurement by Guinness World Records judges during the "Record Day" held at Palazzo Lombardia. The initiative involved schools, consortia and local organisations and is intended for charitable purposes, supporting charitable projects in Italy and Malta, the homeland of the master chocolatiers. The project, presented at CAST, the Italian Institute of Culinary Arts and Hospitality in Brescia, is part of the Cultural Olympiad programme promoted by the Lombardy Region.
