I purchased an old Marklin 8852 Crocodile z gauge electric engine. Most of the wires were off the contacts. I am going to rewire the engine, but I need to know how to wire it. Any help would be appreciated

Hi wberr, welcome to the forum...

I checked the sparepart "exploded view" diagram at
http://produktadmin.maer...files/pdf/8852_explo.pdf
but there is unfortunately no wiring diagram...

Is there any possibility deduct the actual wiring from wire "shape" and/or solder points or are the loose wires in a total mess?

Maybe some forum member familiar with this lok can help, since I am not into Z-scale myself?...

Hi wber,

can you show us a picture? It should not be to hard to rewire the engine, locate the two contacts on the motor, and the 2 contacts that go to each side of the wheels.

For the lights you'll have to find out which side is grounded.
