I have one 4506 Marklin HO Closed Good Van with one tail light.

The rear tail light does not illuminate. Checked power to circuit board from slide and ok No broken wires etc. Circuit board looks to be in great shape. Ground wires and slide to axel also looks good. Anyone have ideas?
Not sure if unit has to have bulb. Not visible
Are those rocker switches on board? if so, very small not sure of settings if so.
Thank You

Jim

There are screws on the underside. Unscrew and the bottom metal piece should fall off. There is a light bulb inside. Also, check the connection of the wires.

Hi Jim
I have this closed goods wagon. All below is from memory I hope it is accurate
I haven't opened it for years and it is not close by.
I think you need to open tha wagon casing (Thermoplastik) after having unplugged the metal male plug from the skishoe assembly.
This is made by unlatching it by gently pushing inwards (I think) those plastic latches hiden just behind each coupler
Once opened you have access to the bulb (Marklin article E600200, otherwise a 19 V E5.5 screw socket)
After all these years the bulb may be defective
Cheers
Jean
