Hi everyone,

I purchased two Märklin trains:

Märklin Z Scale 8901

Märklin 3121

After a while, I bought the 67013 transformer.

I finally connected the 3121, but it only runs in reverse and not forward.
I'm wondering if the train is defective, the transformer is defective, or if the transformer is not the correct one.

Thank you in advance!

Hello:
The Marklin #67013 is a DC (Direct current) transformer for Z scale. It will not operate the Marklin HO scale #3121 locomotive. You need a Marklin AC transformer compatible with your country's voltage.

Hi, thank you for the quick reply!
Since my country's voltage is 220V/230V, is the #66471 transformer suitable for both trains?"

Hello:
No. You need a Marklin AC transformer for the HO locomotive. More info at: www.marklin.de

The 66471 is correct for the H0 locomotive which runs at voltages up to 16 V and reverses direction at 24 V.

Do not feed AC to your Z gauge loco. You still need the other controller for Z gauge.

Tom
