I've been looking for a station kit for my layout, and have come across this Kibri Dreieichen station kit. I can't find a station called Dreieichen in the real world. Can anyone suggest what station Kibri's model is based on? Or what region of Germany the architecture of the station is typical of?

Thanks, that's very helpful. "Dreieichen" definitely resembles Baden Baden station. For some reason a lot of these kits are based on buildings in Baden Württemberg. I don't know if that's because that's where the model companies are based, or because the buildings of Baden Württemberg are considered picturesque.

I believe that Faller, Kibri, and Vollmer all were located in Baden-Württemberg (or close to as did not matter Wink Wink ). So I do suppose that they might have used the architectural styles by which they were surrounded, so to speak Cool

And there is a "Dreieich" and "Dreieichenhain" located just south of Frankfurt/Main (Hessen, just north of Baden-Württ.), although the stations (such as they are) do not resemble this model, the name would be a bit familiar to the model designers...

Compiled from various contributions by Stummiforum members, “Dreieichen” by Kibri is an abridged version of the "Friedrichstal" kit, which in turn is identical to the “Bad Nauheim” kit in terms of dimensions. A photo of the real Bad Nauheim station building in Hesse seems to support that:

I did find those stations on Google, and as you say, they are pretty insubstantial.

That is a bit closer to "Dreieichen" than Baden Baden, it has the same number of storeys, but Kibri have omitted the central block
