I did found out that Tillig Elite turnouts are now more expensive than Märklin K-turnouts.
My last time I did had model railway was two rail with Tillig Elite but there was problems like derailment and weak gears.
It´s amazing how big difference you find out about pro and cons by focus what is best before to buy products.
I am not really sure how it stand about your countrys expensive and inflation in question about model railway costs?
However does two rail tracks are lesser expensive than Märklins K and C track does cost per each pieces.
