I've recently encountered an issue that I believe others might find helpful to be aware of.

After initiating a search for MFX items on my Märklin system, I discovered that all my turnouts—previously programmed manually using the Motorola (MM) protocol—had their addresses reassigned automatically. This was quite surprising, as I had meticulously configured over 70 turnouts with specific addresses to integrate seamlessly with TrainController.

It appears that the MFX discovery process overrides existing manual configurations, even those set via DIP switches or CV programming. Consequently, I'm now faced with the task of reprogramming each turnout to restore my layout's functionality.

This experience has been rather frustrating, and I question the system's design in this regard. I hope sharing this will help others avoid similar setbacks.
