Hello all

I am wondering whether someone can assist me with this query on signals.

A friend of mine has purchased a lot of HO signals.
Unfortunately, they came without boxes or instructions.

Some key information about them is that they have 2 wires (red and brown), they have digital capability meaning that you connect the two wires and they can be operated digitally from your Central Station/Mobile Station, and that they can be programmed using DCC from the Central Station, and they use address numbers with odd numbers with the successive even number being used if it is a signal with more than 2 aspects (H0, H1, H2, etc). They seem to have a digital receiver underneath, but there are no dip switches.

I have a feeling that they might be Viessmann signals, but I cannot find them in a google search on signals.

I have 2 questions about them :

1) Does anybody recognise these signals and can you identify the manufacturer and/or model number ?
There is no marking on the signals to identify the manufacturer.

2) Does anybody have instructions for how to programme the signals ? Especially the CV values ?
I have tried various combinations of CV values in the CV variables 01-09 and some other CVs too, but as yet I cannot figure out how to programme them.
Some of them are 2 aspect signals, some are 4 aspect signals, so I expect that these would be included in the CV table.
Also things like brightness, and change speed might be programmable in the CV values.
I think that some of the address numbers are programmable with numbers beginning with (n x 4) + 1
(eg address values of 1, 5, 9, 13, 17 etc would be possible)

I would be grateful for any assistance on these

Many thanks
John

Hi John,

this one looks like a Viessmann 4012,
but without the signal base ... maybe homemade ?

Best Regards
Joël

Hi John,

I am certainly wrong, but are you sure it is DCC ?

While googling on the web,
I have just found some "Traffic light signals" controller that generates random animation,
in this kind of shape, with a brown and a red wire only for 5v DC power.

but, I am certainly wrong.

Best Regards
Joël

Hi all

This is my current tabulation of CV numbers for different signals, showing the Marklin Keyboard Address number for the signal.
Far from complete, I would really like to see some instructions.
Reverse engineering !

Regards
John
