Mobile Station 2 power supply?

Joined: 18/11/2012(UTC) Posts: 353		I have an extra Mobile Station 2 and 60113 connector box. I was going to order the power supply but I have a HP laptop power supply and was wondering if it is OK to use? The Marklin power supply (66365) is 18 volt at 30VA which by my math is about 1.6 amps. The HP power supply is 19 volts at 4.74 amps (90 watts). I have the appropriate power pin to convert the HP pack to the Marklin box. Is this safe? Will the extra voltage and/or amperage cook the 60113 box? Thanks

Joined: 03/06/2007(UTC) Posts: 167		The bigger question is; are you planning on powering the same layout as the first one being controlled by the first MS? You can't have two power supplies on the same track. You blow stuff up (electronically)! Just my 2 cents. Rick
