Hi Everyone, I've just bought the YAMoRC YD8116 & YD9100 decoders, and I'm having trouble trying to program the 8116. I've read the manual and it isn't quite user friendly for Drongos like me. I've looked on Youtube for some videos however all of them are either in Dutch or German and the one English video is very confusing. He swaps between the different products and doesn't explain fully how to perform the program. Can someone please point in a direction where I can get some help.

Hi Greg It seems to me that the YD8116 controls 16 signal lamps / LEDs or 8 simple signals. The YD8116 is NOT best suited to drive solenoids because of the progressive control of lamps / LEDs
The address setting is made by pushing the PGM button on the YD8116 The RED LED will turn on to indicate a programming mode.
Then activating from your digital station the FIRST signal, the YD8116 will note the CONSECUTIVE addresses of the 16 individual signal indications or 8 regular red/green signals
This being done, the red LED turns off indficating the address hasd been stored.

Cheers Jean Hi Jean, thank you very much for your help. I now can program the YD8116 to switch LED lights and 2 aspect signals. This is all that I need to do for the moment. Regards Greg |
