Hello everyone

In the 2025 Brawa new items catalogue a DRG Era II luggage car (Item 51304, page 21) is listed. In my collection I have three Era II DRG wooden coaches for which I do not yet have a luggage car. The coaches are Brawa units from 2008, item numbers 45250, 1 & 2.

My questions:
Would it be prototypically correct to add a luggage car to these coaches?
Is Brawa item 51304 “correct” considering that it is a steel luggage wagon?

On their web site 51304 is described as Era III while 48368 is Era II. https://www.brawa.de/en/...uge-h0/wagons/all-wagons

I think your cars are for commuter use rather than long-distance express cars. There's no access to other cars in the train. Does a commuter service need a baggage coach of that size? Maybe not. But it would work to satisfy the pre-1934 requirement for a non-revenue spacer car to run after the loco.

I'll say 'yes' to your question and wait to be corrected...

Fine, young, Tweed salseman that y'are
