Joined: 02/03/2019(UTC) Posts: 87 Location: Hordaland, Bergen		The turnout motor (74491) is buzzing all time.That mean's there is current going true it and also temperatur on the coil but every motor works from cs3 command. Annoing.I have just moved and rebuilt my layout,all my m83's worked before, no sound.Now all my turnout motores buzzes.I have tested a turnout connected to m83 , on the programming power line.Same result,buzzing.Any idea's

Joined: 04/02/2011(UTC) Posts: 3,550 Location: Paris, France		Hello Geir The 74491 is factory-fitted with end-of-travel microswitches So buzzing means that you have short-circuited the microswitches (Like many of us to avoid non-responsive 74491 (switch is kaputt) Using a 60832 decoder is ok as they switch off the 74491 after 200 mS Using older 6083 is risky because sometimes they forget to switch OFF the turnout motor I suggest you test the 74491 with an old Märklin transformer using B and 0 connections and the speed control half way The operation must be frank and it will stop buzzing if the microswitches hav e NOT been short-circuited Now, connecting to your switch decoder (which one by the ay?) The impulse should be limited to 200 mS (I trim them to 100 mS) NOTE: if you use a train-control software like Rocrail, THEN the duration is to be adjusted IN the software Generally buzzing indicated that your decoders are problematic or poorly powered (check the wiring) Cheers Jean
