On a number of occasions I have tried to look up items on Marklin's Product Databas by entering the catalogue number only to find that there it says that no record found even though the item exists or once existed. I find it very frustrating. Fair enough that they may not have detaild information (perhaps), but they should at least acknowlege that the item once existed and show a photo.

Until they do (if ever) does anyone know of alternative websites that have a Marklin database, preferably with pictures?
There is no place like The Shire...

There's also M's Software Archive #60520 ... that DVD is darn expensive (about 120 bucks !!) but contains all HO products from 1935 til today. Although it doesn't allow [xx(][xx(][xx(] download of pictures to your gallery, you can print the data pages, at least ... surely won't buy this half-assed solution, again [xx(]

Another source that goes back to 1985 is www.rocousa.com

Click on Marklin then scroll down to "Click here to display all Marklin in numeric order".

Hello
I fully concur with Hobbit: it is very frustrating with the Märklin product database. Once the item ceases to appear in the catalog, it is deleted from this website.
Cheers,
Armando

Many regards,

Hans
I like M-track and my things that run on it were built between 1959 and 1972.

John, does it provide a way to update the database each year with the new releases?

That's disgusting - even if it was a modest fee it should be possible to keep the collection up to date... [xx(] Thanks for the update John.. Smile
