Roco 4268 passenger coach. How to open for light installation?

Hi guys!
I’m struggling to remove the bottom from the sideframes/walls on this Roco passenger coach. The roof obviously came off easy, but in order to do wiring for lights, and get access to the toilets to install electronics, the bottom needs to be taken off.
There’s no screw anywhere and I havent found a way to press the wall invards to click off the bottom…
Is there a special trick? Don’t want to use any more force, so I don’t break the car…
Thanks!

My reccomendation is don't, if you can feed the wires through the holes in the floor around the coupler guides. I've broken the attaching tabs off trying. If you have to remove the bogies to access the holes, do that. Be careful not to lose the coupler centering springs.

The 4268, like some other models, date back to the pre-Roco days (Rowa). The coaches can be opened, but care must be used. The coach separates where the burgundy and black parts meet. You can try pulling on the chassis at one end (Caution not to damage the steps) and then use toothpicks or similar to wedge the two apart. I don't know this model specifically, but have worked with some of the other similar UIC-X coaches from Roco during the early 1980s. On those models, the roof could be popped off and then you could manipulate the little plastic clips with a screwdriver so that you could pull the chassis out from the bottom. This was the most effective method. The roof has a number of clips. start by pressing the roof together (widthwise) at one end and then do the same until the roof detaches. Use care, as there is a risk that the clips may break.
