I've just returned from a road trip Canberra - Brisbane and on the return journey passed through Bathurst (home to the Bathurst 1000 supercar race which is coming up shortly and been discussed on this forum) and popped into the Bathurst Rail Museum. I was going to share my photos and videos of the spectacular model layout in H0 gauge but a quick search on Youtube found that someone has already done a great job of that so here it is!

By the way if you look at a map of Australia, the trip doesn't look too long but it is around 1,200km each way - it's similar distance by road of Göppingen to Barcelona.
If you do visit Bathurst be sure to do a lap of Mt Panorama which is the site of the super car race. No TV pictures can do justice to how difficult some of the sections of this circuit are.
