Has anyone purchased the recent production of the Maerklin Rheingold Wagen Set "Tin Plate" (40851) and added interior lighting to the wagons?
If so, what did you use for parts? Thanks

I think it’s kit #7077. I added lighting to my set. I will double check this when I can look at the set, which is not present now. Next weekend I’ll be able to check. |

The other possibility is #7320 , catalog says interior lighting set for TEE coaches 4085, 4087, and long-distant coaches 4049, 4054, 4064, 4066, 4069, 4078. Consisting of pick-up shoe 7198, light diffuser, 2 lamp sockets, and 2 bulbs. Light bulbs are the old 60015, but can be converted using the plastic push in parts with 2 pins and 2 tiny holes (E604180) (there is also a version with 2 wires connected to them, but I do not have the parts number) for the new light bulbs with 2 pins (610080, used a lot in front and back lights of electric locomotives).

Hi
So i have purchased the Rheingold set (yet to be delivered stupid ups). Now i was wondering if the new marklin 73400 or 73410/73411 kits with a 73404 or 73405 or 73406 pickup shoe can be installed or not.
Further i am asking because these kits come with a buffer capacitor so there will not be blinking in the lights.
Also i have the following coaches and wondering if can fit them with the new lighting . Also if yes which pickup shoe to use . Can anyone help please
Sl no Model no. Lighting kit number Pickup shoe number remarks 1 4000 2 4040 3 4111 4 4023 5 4026 6 4024 7 4020 8 4085 9 4044 10 4169 11 40851

Umm, be careful, only the 73410/73411 sets come with buffer capacitors. The 73400/73401 do not have buffer capacitors.
