Joined: 05/07/2020(UTC) Posts: 326 Location: Mississippi, Vancleave		My question is: the old German passenger coaches had 3 axles, one at each end and one in the center; how did the center wheel set operate on curves? My guess is the center wheel set would slide crosswise to follow the curve. Am I correct?

The "Umbauwagen" (conversion coaches) did do exactly that for the centre axle: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Umbau-Wagen

Joined: 10/02/2021(UTC) Posts: 3,865 Location: Michigan, Troy		Yes, they are factory led equipped from the economic miracle era of the 1950s, rebuilt from thunderbox cars. Same length. The center axle was added to handle the extra payload and passengers.Two per set, coupled together. Either center double port entrance or single port entrance at each end.
