hi i bought this öbb diesel locomotive(article: 36844) with the rear headlights not working i decided to open it and see what was wrong. when i measured the voltage on the front headlights it was 5v, wich is normal, but when i tried the rear i read 16,5 v, three times of the front which presumably burnt out the LEDs on the rear. Does anybody how to fix this, ive made a diagram here

I had that happen to my br 182 from the 90s. If a wire to the LED gets pinched when reassembling the body on, it shorts and blew the LED. My dealer who was very experienced in digital told me that the decoder was probably also damaged. It wasn't worth the cost to replace it because it runs fine and only blew out the right side front short distance light.

I think 16.5 V is correct for an open circuit.
Working LEDs will lead to a lower voltage. The voltage drop in a resistor depends on the current through it.

The flex boards used in this type of loco are prone to weak contacts or broken wires. On older locos you can easily break off an LED when putting the body back onto the loco.

Long story short: I think a decoder failure is not likely, a problem with the flexboard or the LEDs is more likely IMHO.

Tom
