Rather than hi-jack the "Faller houses in real life" thread LOL (Who? Me? hi-jack a thread? LOL ) I do want to gather this all in one place ThumpUp

I will however, quote myself here...

Quote:
I may be really, really, stretching the imagination RollEyes but what think you of this? Just stumbled across these pictures and wondered if Gebr. Faller had something like this in mind for:

B-91 and still to this day as 110091 "Hintertupfingen" (Way in the back of beyond, rustic, rural )

https://bahnbauten-h0.blogspot.c...nkt-hintertupfingen.html

And this in real life Haltestelle Wieblingen (Heidelberg), built the same year as the first appearance of -91 in the Faller catalog (near the bottom of the page):

and this in Zeuthen, built ca. 1870s, which is now part of the megalopolis of Berlin (just SE of Brl-Schönfeld) - about half-way down:

Am I "pushing the envelope" a bit? Confused They look plausible, but then the Brothers were quite the imaginative group BigGrin (perhaps I am just trying to make the shoe fit...)

So...want to add a bit of AMS to your Hintertupfingen layout?

Love I do enjoy pushing the envelope! I am channeling or cross-referencing, or what ever that thing is from this...

And we have from this:

https://www.historisches-lexikon...Vizinal-_und_Lokalbahnen

UserPostedImage

"The conductor jumps off the train in front of the Oberniedertupfing local train station and runs ahead to the train station... because he is also the station manager!"

I welcome comments, etc....Enjoy!

Now, in the interest of full disclosure...LOL

Faller has reissued the model in 2020 as 110204 "Pusemuckel" in a beige-ish color, with still our dark green accents Wink Wink and running concurrently with the 110091 in dark green.

However, it will take a few more years for this one to become "Collectible/Vintage" Cool

p. s. I have no idea what "Pusemuckel" means! LOL I guess it is the name of the town? RollEyes

I found this by Googleing Pusemuckel: "Seit dem 19. Jahrhundert wird „Posemuckel“ (oder abgewandelt „Pusemuckel“) als Synonym für „kleine, abgelegene und provinzielle Ortschaft“ benutzt, ähnlich Hintertupfingen."

Translation: Since the 19th century, “Posemuckel” (or modified “Pusemuckel”) has been used as a synonym for “small, remote and provincial village”, similar to Hintertupfingen.

So the building kit colour and name have changed, but it still has the same hidden meaning, haha!

Cheers,

Harold.
