Hallo and Good Day,
Gents, I just bought brand new Märklin 89991 Electric Turntable - Drehscheibe - NEW in original packaging...for fraction of the cost!
Any suggestions, comments or feedback? What to expect or what to look for/avoid ? Any one using this particular turntable and is willing to share with me own experiences…

Duh it was on my list for long time but couldn’t get myself to throw close to 500 on turntable. So opportunity knocked on - Price wise it was below two hundred bucks with Trafo so I couldn’t resist…. or pass on !
Regards,

Hello, hope all is well.

I don’t have this and have no experience. I would like to have a roundhouse because it really adds interest and action to a layout.

I think a track extension kit is needed for each of the track exit points. Not certain of the Marklin part number.

Should you discover a motor issue, I have seen them listed on auction sites like eBay from time to time. Z train Hobo might also have one. believe the part number is E211914.

Nothing better than finding a good deal and acting on it. I recently purchased the Kribi Goeppingen church and when it was in shipment realized I already have two churches on my layout. It was such a deal, I could not resist, just like you. I hope I can get this one on my layout eventually. It is larger than I expected

Take good care, hope it works out for you.

I scored one too not that long ago.
For what I understood: if you didn't pay premium, it was worth it.
The controllers can be swapped for others or changed with PWM controllers.

Building it from scratch is possible, but I've read everywhere it's far better to start with an existing one.

I've only seen these prices rise..
