Hi,
I recently bought a used CS1 and initially it worked but as I managed to enter things a lot of stuff while playing around with it I decided to reset it. Once it had reset the stop light came on indicating short circuit. I started to remove track pieces to locate the problem and at last I even disconnected the CS1 completely from the track, it still shows short circuit and goes back to stop after a few seconds when I press start. I tried to reset it once again without track connection, unplugged the power and restarted - nothing helped. I realize it’s an old pice of equipment I am using but I wonder if anyone else has experienced the same thing and have a suggestion how to resolve it. I used the track connection to 24088.

I think I solved the problem by adjusting the delay for short circuit detection in external booster to 200ms (I do not have an external booster) but now it’s working again.

Märklins old CS1 was chaos. They are sensible. I did bought when it was premier but did return back a week later. Did change to train models instead. My old CS1 was stand at 200 ms as standard. Didn’t changed anything at all but still problem by use it. |
