I run Marklin ac analog. Instead of creating or repairing power plates for the Seuthe #9 generator, could I instead use the Seuthe 99 or 100 and wire it into the headlight wire ? Thanks. Holger

The Marklin 7226 smoke unit was the standard ac analog model, made by Suethe, but I don't know the exact amperage. If those others draw more, your headlight may be dim is all.

Holger Yes the Seuthe #9 has the same Voltage (8-14V, goof for analogue operation) and the same diameter as the #99. The only difference being the 2 wire connection. Connection: one wire of the smoke unit goes to the frame and the other to the active pole (if the front headlight is already connected to the active pole, then all is fine. Technic details: to be downloaded here Seuthe Smoke Units for locos - Technical detailsCheers Jean |
