Looking through the forum ,and online search - its a struggle to find Marklin suppliers for Z track.
I am trying to set up a second layout, with a fair amount of track to purchase.Previous layout was a starter set, with extensions.

Do any uses know of a UK source? Will be hit with import duty and VAT if over £135 from abroad .........

This UK Ebay seller usually has some but that would be a piecemeal way of building a layout and rather frustrating.

No connection etc

Gaugemaster, as the UK distributor, should have some track (but they don't tend to hold a lot of stock). Kent Garden Railways have some track in stock. I also use Peco's flexible track with Märklin points.

Gaugemaster, or try calling Mount Tabor models in Derbyshire, who are also a proper Z gauge retailer.

It's well worth getting new track, as used track has often been subject to abrasives for cleaning, and as such will need cleaning all the time.

I'll second Carim's suggestion of using Peco flexible track - it's fairly readily available and relatively economical to buy. Of course it takes more care to lay although I think the results are much better than using sectional track. Even if you just use it for straight sections, it will probably save you money and possibly time, too.

Cheers

Buy from Germany in two or three lots to avoid delays in customs. Gaugemaster prices are way to high and stocks are poor. Any other shop has to buy from Gaugemaster and do not stock Marklin despite saying they do. The UK needs an agent for Marklin but I doubt we will ever get one.
Take care I like Marklin and will defend the worlds greatest model rail manufacturer.
