does the marklin 60948 decoder work with the 60652 mobile station ?

It should. It is designed to work with Mfx, DCC and Motorola and should be automatically detected by any of the MS/CS from Maerklin

Hi Mike

i removed the cover and found the decoder board with the following marking V0040423A BS
i would attach a photo but i do not see that option here
