Can anybody help with documentation or description of how it works please Tim

Bonjour Tim I have the 26830 version (digital sound) so I am not 100% sure about the 28830 Yes there is a decoder in the snow blow unit of the 28830.
Fontions are - single / double beam (top of snow blow unit) - activation of the snow blow (rotation) - direction of the rotation
Be careful with the front door as they unclip very easily. The front light unit is simply plugged so, if it does not light-up, push it gently rearwards The difference with the 26830 are: - sound when the snow plow rotates - whistle
The loco (BR50 Kriegslok) has a few digital fonctions (3 or 4) but no sound Cheers Jean |

Tim Hi the 28830 snowblower has a simple delta decoder: (no sound) From the 28830/26830 manual: Delta: Permanently on: Rotary plow blades turn to the right, work lights, smoke unit.
I upgraded my 26830 as described here: https://www.marklin-users.net/forum/posts/t46568-26830-Schneeschleuder---rotary-snowplow---mSD3-upgrade

I upgraded my 26830 as described here: https://www.marklin-users.net/forum/posts/t46568-26830-Schneeschleuder---rotary-snowplow---mSD3-upgrade thanks, it looks like i have to upgrade two decoders, loco and plough - that should be a challenge for somebody who has just bought a soldering iron

And the front lights are just inserted into the sockets. But the lights need some programming, I used some simple AND logic. if you plan to use an msd3 and want it for reference I can send you my decoder project, just drop me a PM. This thread is from another conversion with ESU decoder: https://www.marklin-users.net/forum/posts/t49182-Conversion-of-the-snow-plow-with-recent-loksound-decoderThe Br52 is also doable but a bit tight. and remember to put the drossels in the tender if you are using an mld3/msd3. The is also an extra "brass" weight the the tender making it quite hard to fit a speaker. The extra weight is placed in the rear of the tender without any fixing, and it seems like it is put there as an afterthought, slightly earlier br52 versions don't have this. I started upgrading my 26830 br52 yesterday, have been planning to do it for a long time. And finally got around to doing it together with my two other BR52's. The manuals: (The Br52 manual is also generic for most if not all old Marklin BR 52 Delta and Digital with 60901x decoder.) 28830_26830_BR52_manual.pdf28830_26830_Dampfschneeschleuder.pdfand here is a link to a post with a video of the original: https://www.marklin-users.net/forum/posts/t43998-Henschel-Rotary-snowplow-in-old-Norwegian-newsreelsEdited by user 12 December 2023 22:21:09(UTC)
