Märklin H0 Bananenwagen Jamaica 382 with brown roof are often described as made 1939 - 1946.
Koll Katalog claims 382 was made 1936 to 1950,but there is no reference to roof color.
Most of existing 382 are either eggshell white or weathered cream due to age. Occasionally, even reputable auction houses (e.g. a Vienna auction house ) offer 382 with brown roof.
On the other hand, Viehwagen 389 of the same size and construction had brown roof.
The question is whether brown roof on 382 existed at all, and when encountered it is either repainted or taken from 389.

What do you think ?
Thanks
