Hi all,
A young family member has ripped the mobile part off a turnout no. 24611. Please see the attached photo.
Does anyone know if this can be repaired?

Steve

Oh my! Usually the throw lever falls off, but I've not seen this before. You can try reattaching the piece to the bottom tab and see if it stays and works freely.

I suspect the effort involved will not be worth it. The pieces of rail leading up to the frog have also been damaged, and I suspect that the process of getting them upright again will cause them to detach. Also the hinge points for the moving rails have been broken off, and I don't know how you would repair those.

For the cost and reliability I would get a new point.

Just forget about it and put it in the bin.

When I was a child, a wooden spoon or leather belt would have prevented a re-occurrence.
Not appropriate these days!!

Just to add my 2 cent's unless your confident you can find someone who will fix it for you on the cheap the only
thing is to buy a new one

Like most things today the inconvenience and cost of having it repaired just isn't worth it
