The idea of this poll is to gauge the interest in HO scale British models. I have deliberately restricted the poll because Märklin have started with an iconic locomotive, the 39968 Flying Scotsman. Would you like Märklin to consider the following. You can tick all or any of the boxes ..... 1st Poll: Should there be more A3 class locomotives (tick any or all that are desirable): The LNER A3 class had in-service variations notably left or right hand driving position with different boiler pipes, dome types, smokebox feedwater heating, different tender types etc. In British Railways days some were fitted with double chimneys and smoke deflectors. These questions are beyond the scope of our poll. Thank you. Kimball Edited by user 14 November 2023 11:04:32(UTC)

HO Scale - Märklin (ep II-III and VI, C Track, digital) - 2 rail HO (Queensland Australia, UK, USA) - 3 rail OO (English Hornby Dublo) - old clockwork O gauge - Live Steam 90mm (3.1/2 inch) gauge. |

1st Poll: Should there be more A3 class locomotives (tick any or all that are desirable): Yes please, :) Perhaps an A3 in Blue? Sunstar? (Is reported that Flying Scotsman was also painted Blue for a period, but there are no photos of it)

Probably about a dozen people responded. To summarize it appears both the company style LNER A3 to 1947 (green) would be as equally accepted as the national British Railways version from 1948 (blue or green). Thank you. Kimball |
