Hi,
as a long-time Märklinist I have the standard spares. Among those one is ubiquitous: the diection relay spring 7194 and most Märklin dealers have them.
They can be used on couplers on switches, sometimes you may have to adjust the pull factor (just a very little).
They sell here in Europe for €3.80 for 5 pieces.
Along with motor brushes, all types of traction tire, sliders of many types YOU MUST HAVE THEM.
Cheers
Jean

Besides, 7194, Märklin has installed the following tension springs ("Zugfedern"):

765500 --> length 10 mm
765510 --> length 15 mm
765520 --> length 20 mm
765530 --> length 30 mm
765540 --> length 40 mm

And there is the 313930 spring ("Richtfeder 0,2").

To tell which spring is needed, one needs to know the Märklin passenger car article number. For example:
- tension spring 765600 was installed in the wagons 4002/4802 and 4041;
- spring 313930 was installed in Märklin passenger cars 4131, 4132, 4133.
