Hi all I have just laid the track on my small z gauge layout. I want to control the 13 points(switches) and 11 semaphore signals using Marklin control boxes. So far, so good. Can I wire a set of points and the relevant signal from one terminal on the control box (72730) or do I have to have 2 separate switches? Thanks Stowbooty

Hello, hope all is well. Sounds like you have a great layout going, should be an interesting project. I am no expert when it comes to the rules for connecting electrical components and find I must review the guide for users from Marklin to make certain I get things correct. Hopefully you will find the information in this guide helpful in solving this issue. https://www.maerklin.de/...Buch_Spur_Z_komplett.pdfI hope this helps, take good care. Dwight

Both would only require momentary power. The only issue I see is that when the train leaves, is that the signal needs to return to stop position for the following train. So you need to do this manually with momentary switch the other way, or use a 8589 Straight Contract Track (can unthread rail & thread to 660mm rail for continuous rail if you want) But the "stop position" momentary switch is effectively different wiring to "go position". The above mentioned book is great, I have one, but I feel the easiest (how I approach wiring) way to get one's head around the wiring is to simply wire up in a very temporary way to make sure points & signals do what you want. Just make sure power is momentary or you will cook the point & signal. If signals are lights, then a momentary switch then can switch a latching relay for both stop & go lights. Dear All, I have recently completed by Z Scale Marklin Toporama layout, i have Implemented Smart IoT based Track control system for this layout. The complete construction details of this control system of this layout is in the following blog links. https://www.superhobbies...sing-arduino-and-esp8266This video is the demonstration of dcc conversion of z scale locos
