Hi Everyone! I hope one of you can help me out....I have Marklin M track with a 6021 and 6001. I am trying to control a 33021. Here is what I have done so far and the results I have gotten.

1). Tested 33021 using a conventional transformer; ran fine (all dip switches off)
2). Set dip switch on loco to 1 (of 4) to "on" so address should be 78
3). Removed capacitor from M track feeder section and set up a length of track
4). Attached 6001 brown and yellow wires to 6021 brown and yellow clips
5). Attached track wire brown and red to 6021 other brown and red clips
6). Set dip switches on 6021 to 1 off, 2 on, 3 off, 4 off
7). Loco on track
8). Plugged in Transformer
9). 6021 Power light comes on and so does L and F
10). Selected 78, Direction Arrow comes on
11). Turned the dial and nothing happened
12). Tried changing address to 02, same result
13). Checked for voltage at the track using an AC voltage detector (it lights up in the presence of live AC, I use it to make sure wall outlets are dead before working on them)
14). Ac Volt Detector lights up near the track, when I press the stop button the light gets dimmer, when I press the go button the light gets brighter so I assume the track is getting current and the 6021 appears to be working
15). Set the dip switches on the 6021 to 1 on, 2 on, 3 on, and 4 off - same result - nothing

Am I doing something obviously wrong? Is there a way to test the output of the 6021 with a meter and what voltage should I see on the track? Any other ideas??????

Thanks!!!!

Turns out it is the Dip Switch setting on the 6021 - when they are 1 on, 2 on, 3 on, and 4 off - it works..... ugh! Hope my leaving this out there helps someone else!
