Caveat 1: I checked Conradantiquario Faller catalogue entries. Caveat 2: I did have my specs on, but I may still have missed it. Caveat 3: I do understand that many manufacturers often change models and reuse catalogue numbers (they would soon run out of numbers, I suppose) So 94 has at least 2 versions as "B-94": St Urban Neuberg And yet here is one that I can not find in a catalogue: Breitenbach "HO 94" (also offered recently as 131214; not to be confused with recent 190080 Breitenbach) Did Faller (and others cf. my post about the Kibri Bell Tape and Speaker) do some items as "Dealer Promotions/Add-ons" or is there a catalogue that does have the Breitenbach "HO 94"? Perhaps a country-specific catalogue item/export/non-export? Perhaps an early "HObby" version? The number 94 would indicate fairly far back in the mists of time... Confused I am It does give us all a challenge when doing research into our favorite fields. |

Hi Jimmy I love Faller items especially those in the early 60s. I spotted the St Urban station on the 1961 catalogue. At the time there was a HUGE number of new items. Faller switched in a couple of years from assembled wood / cardboard base to plastic model kits in many colours. At the time Faller had a serie of "Stamped cardboard " buildings but very short-lived. The rage was polystirene kits
Faller always was very innovative but it was a bit messy when dealing with catalog numbers. So you spotten the "Saint Urban" station with the same number with later (different) models. An example Faller B 160 was a lighted fountain with water pump around 1963 but later (15 years or more) the same number was assigned to a 3 stall lokshed. One possibility: Faller reused the same number to replace a poor-seller with a new item. Cheers Jean |
