Thank you for posting this link Heinrich,

Wonderful and very well edited video with good historical commentary.
We used Closed Caption and read the odd auto-translations into English.
Watched a good chunk over lunch will watch the rest tonight with my "co-pilot".

We watch and go back and forth to see the scenes properly and read the text making sure we understand if it matches the original German or not. Its inspiring me to add a weathering job for my old analog Schiennien/Railbus onto my todo list and then get a new one in the not too distant future depending on budgetary constraints.

One question I had; the narrator says the 20km trip for the railbus takes 40 minutes and that is as much time as the S-bahn to Munich (i think)... but where do you suppose the S-bahn came from on that journey and how many km do you think it would have taken for the S-bahn to travel in 40 minutes in the 90s.

Cheers,
Mark

In single point perspective, where do track lines meet?

20km or 12miles will put you around Haar

quote from google
(Starting service in the area in 1972 these 67.4m/221ft long trains weighted 129 metric tons empty and put out 2400kw/3200hp. The trains were set up for strong acceleration due to the short distances between most stations, but still managed 120kph/75mph top speed.)

PS i found the black streak of soot on the roof and good weathering guide
