Extra axle hole in br44 lead truck

Joined: 02/08/2014(UTC) Posts: 742 Location: NEW JERSEY, USA		I was servicing a 3046.1 SNCF and noticed this extra axle hole just behind the front wheel. It's drilled out and ready for an axle. I checked two other old style br44's and yes, They all have it. I have never noticed it before. Does anyone know where this bogie may have been used other than a br44?? Mikey
