Swedish 30302 DA 896 - Closest sound?

Hi,

I need to add mSD3 to Märklin 30302. Luckily the sound library has station announcements in Swedish, but there's no sounds for this loco otherwise.

What do you think, what could work as the closest one from those that are available? Especially running sounds and horns are important.

Perhaps the Sj Dm/Dm3 ? but it seems that Marklin has not released the sound project for it, but you can try to email märklin and ask for it.

how about any of the available projects? I guess there are german / french electric locos that have similar sounds... The issue of course is that I do not know enough about locomotives that I could imagine how such a loco is supposed to sound... Hence the question. BigGrin

it's a good chance that Marklin has something reasonably close, why not try a search on youtube for Da/Dm videos?. Sometimes I do that myself and just use what sounds closest in the Marklin library, including LGB, Trix and guage 1 projects.
there are some older projects on this page: https://www.maerklin.de/de/service/downloads/neu-nachruest-decoder-mld3msd3 or the individual electric: https://www.maerklin.de/de/service/downloads/neu-nachruest-decoder-mld3msd3/elektro-sounds (older projects often also have some deeper tones in them.)
