It seems that MS2 WLAN do have same function in the standard MS2 except radio frequency. Not sure if limited memory because it is not profitable to upgrade, unless Märklin puts a larger memory chip there? I miss stil information by Märklin. |

Is this Goofy speculation with no foundation or do you have information backing up what you say?

Hi My gueswork is as good as Goofy's (I think): - the WiFi addition to the MS2 is most probably independent of internal ressources like memory. - the cost of changing the internal structure (except the WiFi ADDITION) is huge on software maintenance not only on the MS2 but also on the CS2 and CS3, etc. - Märklin is probably working on a new generation of MS2 and CS3. Will it on the MS3 be a color screen and better handling? I don't know but this is fun trying to guess what M prepare.

What we have at present is good enough for running our railway. I expect Marklin will produce new controllers in time. A new CS3 with a larger screen and a better easier to use track diagram I would like.. I know a CS3 can be connected to a larger screen computer but I dont want to mess up my desk with further equipment hence the desire for a better CS3. My view is be happy with what we have and in time new products will appear. |
Take care I like Marklin and will defend the worlds greatest model rail manufacturer. |
