Joined: 09/05/2006(UTC) Posts: 27 Location: , Colorado		Hello All - Having problems connecting my CS1 to my computer. My equipment has been sitting idle for many years but used to work just fine. Currently I have set up my network configuration but when I test the connection with a browser (http://10.0.0.233) it fails "this site can't be reached" (It did respond once but after I clicked the "English" tab it failed again and would not reload. I can ping the IP and get 4 successful replies. So I don't know where the problem is. I have tried different IP addresses, LAN cables and different browsers with and without firewalls/antivirus. And further diagnostic suggestions would be appreciated, I did try a factory reset for the CS1but that did not help. Thanks!

Joined: 04/02/2011(UTC) Posts: 3,563 Location: Paris, France		Hi Berndt I never connected my CS1 to my PC but I did it with my CS2 and CS3 Sorry if I write things you know already: - must select either a direct link (manual mode) with an Ethernet cable linking the CS1 to the PC (IP should normally start with 192.168.xx.xx but with a direct link this is not important) - alternately you may select DHCP when a router is inserted in-between to assign addresses - full detail aroung page 40 on the manual here https://static.maerklin....b44726828d1674717627.pdf On the computer side - if windows 10, then check the firewall and potentially declare the external device address or application (I use Rocrail) - If windows 11 second hand information report that some goodies with windows 11 may have to be removed (to insert a Rocrail application icone). Joined: 16/02/2004(UTC) Posts: 15,445 Location: DE-NW		My CS1 connects to the local net without problems. I use the 192.168.x.y net with 255.255.255.0 mask. The correct mask for the 10.x.y.z net would be 255.0.0.0, allowing more than 16 millions computers in your LAN. Not sure if that is related to problem. Computer and CS1 must be on the same logical network using the same network mask. Which address does your computer have? Do you have version 2.0.4 on your CS1? Older version? Newer version?
